In a recent community initiative, Love Paarl leveraged local resources to enhance a community park in Hillside. Through the generous support of local businesses like  which provided essential materials such as sand and stone, the project aimed to teach valuable skills and promote environmental consciousness among the younger residents.

Under the guidance of local expert, Hendrik, the children learned how to utilize recycled 2-litre bottles for building. This hands-on project not only educated them on the importance of recycling but also involved them in constructing a new park bench. This practical experience was a step forward in fostering a sustainable mindset and community spirit.

The result was a functional and environmentally friendly park bench, crafted by the joint efforts of volunteers and Hillside kids, which now serves as a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together.
