What is Ubuntu At The Table?
This Heritage Day, join thousands of South Africans in a synchronised national movement to bring people together around shared tables.
#UbuntuAtYourTable is about more than food—it’s about connection, storytelling, and celebrating our rich diversity. On 24 September 2025, South Africans from all walks of life will gather in homes, schools, offices, public parks, and shared spaces to share meals, stories, and space, creating a tapestry of gatherings across the country that remind us of our shared humanity and the beauty of our differences. Whether it’s a traditional braai, a potluck with neighbours, a cultural fusion lunch at the office, or a picnic in the park, your table becomes part of this people-powered, grassroots movement.
If you can’t host on Heritage Day itself, you can still take part anytime during the week of 22–28 September. Everyone is welcome—if you eat, you qualify.
